autism GROUPS

Parenting Course

We offer regular parenting workshops to support parents in understanding their child’s diagnosis and equipping them with positive parenting strategies.

Behind the mask

This exciting new group is designed for teenage girls with a diagnosis of autism. Carlton Psychologist, Dr Rebecca Ker, will guide the session to enable members of the workshop to use art to help them describe what it is like being autistic, and to explain how it feels to mask their difficulties. In small groups, they will share their experiences with other autistic young women. At the end of the session, family members are invited to spend a little time listening to a talk about the project the group created.

This group is fantastic for those wanting to better understand a diagnosis, build confidence and meet other women whose experiences they might relate to.

The group runs monthly and spaces are limited.
